After that, time for my group-Darwin Festival. Megan had already organized the timetable for us. The assignments and deadline were showed clearly. She introduced the process of Darwin Festival from 11 to 28 August 2011 that we can have group work step by step. Some specific information also was mentioned such as the noise in the big event during filming and be safe anywhere. We were also showed a good example about Sydney Festival. Actually, that is great. The transition makes it frequently between different music and the different environments. Because Darwin Festival has many different locations around city and different shoe time, we will be divided into 3 small groups to work in different events.   Megan already manages the filming roster for us. We will not only work on it, but also have fun in Darwin Festival. To feeling it, enjoy the festival and record every exciting moment.

NMD302 WEEK1

As the first class of New Media Advanced Studio in this semestertwo projects were introduced which were TEDx and Darwin Festival. So we were separated into two groups to response for the two projects. We also got the study plan for this semester. As can be seen from the study plan, after collect the resources of TEDx and Darwin Festival (shootings, audios and images). We will concentrate on developing Multimedia ePublication/ Podcost of Darwin Festival. Editing is still an important part in this semester.
The Darwin Festival is responded by our group which is a traditional ceremony and performance.  It includes many different activities such as music concert, photographic exhibition, prints exhibition, Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair. Those are all the local and special things of Darwin. That could be a fantastic experience to study and know more about Northern Territory from Darwin Festival. This is also an opportunity to explore and develop my study skills. More practices, more experiences. To work with group mates that is a challenge for me to have more communication through study and life. I am very interest in it and it helps me to catch up with editing and shooting.
